Mission Team from Owen Sound makes a world of difference
We were so blessed this past month to have nine folks of all different ages come down from Owen Sound, Ontario and join with us in mission. Together we have accomplished so much. In the 10 days they were here we started painting Jenny’s home. We went out as a group and gave out clothes and supplies to local poor children and families. We took a delivery of food to Pastor Freddy so he could continue to run his outreach kitchen to local La Ceibian men who are drug addicts and or unemployed. We visited the project “Nino’s de la Luz” for an afternoon of gift giving and worship. We accomplished a lot around the retreat centre including a second coat of paint, varnishing the doors, finishing off the security fence and building more steps down to the river below. We found ourselves blessing local poor schools with art and sports supplies. Whatever needed doing this team just put their hands to the task. Nothing was too hard for them or below them. Even when a fellow missionary had her van breakdown the team took it upon themselves to fix her vehicle and get her back on the road. Below are pictures of their time here with us. In what for me is true mission fashion they worked hard, prayed hard and played hard. They are the first of two teams coming down this Spring to “lend a hand”. A team from England will join us for 2 weeks in April. The monies these teams raise allows us to purchase resource materials that we just couldn’t afford without them. Enjoy the pictures. More will be posted in April on our website.
